Stereotype
These elements are reconfigured into visual metaphorical devices. Beneath the seemingly elegant classical aesthetic lies a profound reflection on the fragility of modern society and its modes of cognition. It is an interrogation of cognitive inertia—how do we unconsciously inherit specific paradigms of viewing? How do we replicate predetermined modes of perception within the collective unconscious?
This series adopts the visual rhetoric of Neoclassicism while deliberately embedding contemporary fissures within its solemn order. The emotional shifts in color and the subtle emotional details of the figures become visual entry points for deconstructing cognitive stereotypes. When so-called eternity is revealed to be nothing more than detachable, temporary scenery, the cultural scripts concerning faith and power ultimately expose their constructed nature through visual variations.
